Wellness & Preventive Care

Why We Prioritize Wellness

At Paws Up, a wellness exam isn’t just a routine check—it’s the first line of defense in your pet’s lifelong health journey. These visits empower us to catch small issues before they become serious, ensure vaccinations are current, and give you a chance to ask all those pet-parent questions that pop up between visits

Common Questions

  • What happens during a wellness exam?

Our vet conducts a detailed, nose-to-tail review of your pet’s health, including:

    • Weight, temperature, and body condition

    • Oral exam: teeth, gums, and mouth

    • Eyes, ears, skin, coat, and coat quality

    • Heart and respiratory evaluation

    • Abdominal palpation and gastrointestinal check

    • Joint and muscle assessment to spot signs of discomfort or arthritis

We also update vaccinations, conduct age-appropriate diagnostic tests, and tailor a preventive care plan just for your companion.
