Pet surgery

At Paws Up, our surgical suite is where precision, comfort, and thoughtful care come together. Whether it’s a routine elective surgery or urgent soft-tissue procedure, our highly trained team uses modern equipment and best practices to support successful outcomes and smooth recoveries.

 Your FAQs, answered.

  • Absolutely—with careful screening and advanced monitoring, anesthesia is safe and ensures your pet feels no pain during the procedure.

  • No—your pet will be asleep and unaware during the procedure. We provide multiple layers of pain relief, both during and after.

  • Please don’t give food after midnight—but water is fine in the morning. This helps prevent complications like vomiting during anesthesia.

  • Most surgeries are completed within the day. You’ll drop off in the morning and usually bring your pet home the same evening. More complex procedures may require overnight care, which we’ll discuss ahead of time.

  • Gentle confinement is key—limited activity, clean bedding, and monitoring the incision. We’ll provide detailed instructions, calming strategies, and follow-up support to ensure a smooth recovery.
